## Throughput limits

| Tier | Throughput |
| ---------- | ------------ |
| Public | 25 req/s |
| Free Plan | 250 req/s |
| Pro Plan | 250,000 CU/s |
| Enterprise | Custom |

Starting **August 4, 2026 at 12:00 PM PST**, Public and Free tier limits drop as shown above. Pro and Enterprise limits are unchanged — keyed traffic on those plans is unaffected. See [Throughput](/rpc-nodes/information/throughput) for handling 429 responses and full guidance.

## Autoscaling

Paid plans autoscale at \$0.10/1M CUs once the base CU limit has been reached. e.g. On the Pro Plan, once your organization has consumed the 1B CU base limit included in your plan within a given month, every additional 1M CUs will cost \$0.10. You can add a spend limit in settings, which allows you to control the maximum amount that can be spent each month. Once a spend limit is reached, requests are blocked with an HTTP `403` until the limit resets or is raised.

On the Free Plan there is no autoscaling. Once your organization consumes the 100M CU base limit within a given month, requests are blocked with an HTTP `403` until the limit resets or you upgrade to a paid plan. This is the same status code returned when a Pro or Enterprise spend limit is reached.
