The same way you might use platforms like Alchemy or Infura to access Ethereum, you can use our endpoints to send requests to the built-in RPCs on Conduit chains. **To do this you'll need to get an API key.** > **Note** > > Starting **August 4, 2026 at 12:00 PM PST**, an API key is required for `debug_*` and `trace_*` methods and for all WebSocket connections. Integrations using WebSocket without a key will stop working on August 4 — [create a free key](https://app.conduit.xyz/) and append it to your WSS URL to keep subscriptions running. ## Steps #### Sign up or log in to Conduit Sign up or log in to [Conduit](https://app.conduit.xyz/). #### Head to the Nodes page Go to the [Nodes](https://app.conduit.xyz/nodes) page. #### Click \`Create API key\` and name your key Append your API key to the RPC url of the rollups you wish to interact with. #### Start sending requests to the RPC endpoint Your API key will work on **all public and private endpoints** (private endpoints do not appear in the Conduit app). You can add [JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication](/rpc-nodes/guides/jwt-authentication) to an API key with an asymmetric key pair. After setup, each request must include both the API key and a JWT from that key pair. --- [Get started →](https://app.conduit.xyz/nodes) > The same way you might use platforms like Alchemy or Infura to access Ethereum, you can use our endpoints to send requests to the built-in RPCs on Conduit chains.
